Since I myself am I very negative person and haven't seen this poll done yet (which I may have just missed, if I have I apologize) I thought I'd take the initive and ask CFCers what they are most disapointed in BTS. I figure it's been out long enough that we've all formed at least a skeleton of an opinion :p

For me, it's definatly Corporations. I think they are confusing, ineffective, and really just an annoyance. Other than that, I think most of the other options I listed are handled pretty well, although Espionage needs some tweaking.

My biggest Dissapointment is that I dont have it yet....

I think colonies. I like the idea that cities could break away of their own accord rather than you explicitly having to give them permission.

I don't think that corporations or espionage are really going to be a problem, after the next patch, which Solver's unofficial patch also largely fixes. The lack of a patch- or rather, the need for an immediate patch- is my biggest disappointment.

I think BtS is great, there is no real disappointment. I do agree with Glosrob, having parts of you empire (not just a culture revolt of a single city) break away due to unhappiness would add a new dimenstion to the game. Though it might be frustrating to have this. Of course it would be more realistic if this where to happen to cities that are not on the same island/continent as the capital. Maybe this can be modded, I don't know about that.

I voted for wonders because I love those and can never have enough (started many wars because somebody beat me to constructing one).

The interface; It has gotten really really messy with the new stuff. Political borders STILL defined by cultural influence. That's about it. :)

I like the new features, but I am rather disappointed by the lack of polish. There are bugs and balance problems which should never have got through testing.

The new elements don't always fit smoothly into the game, there are far too few tie-ins between Diplomacy and Espionage for example.

The new event system while great could have used some graphics. Even some static pictures would probably have made them seem far more meaningful.

I think you should be able to set a group of cities as a colony and then they are given a new leader but not are not considered a new Civ.

So even though that leader can build units, buildings etc you can easily override him if you choose (to stop him building his 100th caravel ffs!!).

You could set a tax rate on this group of cities and generally however you treated them, they would love you or hate you back. Mistreat them enough, and bingo a new Civ is declared and you can either send the troops in to claim your land back or think hmm c'est la vie!

I'm no historian but I would say a good few colonies had to agitate for nationhood, rather than being gifted it.

My only complaint for BtS is that there are no civil wars triggered for various reasons(like the revolution mod, Rhye's and fall of civ). Then again I am complaining for a feature that was not added to the expansion pack. I guess colonial uprisings come close enough. Adds more change to the stagnant list of leaders in game.

For me it has to be the lack of the Upgraded UN and A Palace....
There is still no way to manipulate votes or at least get your vassals to vote your way.

The "upgraded Un" seems like they just added some extra lines to a text file, and really wasn't upgraded at all

Corporations are a pain imho. I`m one of those types who actually tries to get by without them (and have actually). My society is a bit socialist, I guess.

Anyway, biggest dissappointment is the lack of serious power from nuclear weapons. They should be a real threat to scare everyone, but they`re not. It would also be nice to create custom AI nations.

Other than that i`m quite happy with it.

Artillery has not been fixed. Yeah so now they say they can only do a certain amount of damage, but who ever heard of losing an artillery unit because they charged into a cavalry? when artillery in RL fire for collateral damage they are protected by two or three layers of Tanks and/or Infantry. It would have been better if they designed it so opposing artillery could fire back and damage the attacking artillery, or if fighter/fighter bombers could come out and retalliate, just like a fighter defending against a bomber or fighter attack, and just they way it happenes in RL

Basically the game seems a lot more oriented towards warmongers, especially towards the end-game, than I would have expected. The title would suggests the opposite would be the case and that constructive games would have been the goal for development. Since corporations, and a couple of other things, are a bit buggy right now, I can't really vote on those. Most everything is very well done. Just a few things need a bit of correcting/tweaking.

I'm slowly going to mod out the AI acting so irrationally aggressively as time goes by. Probably after the next official patch.

The biggest disappointment with BTS, is the same as earlier versions, I have a job, a wife, and 3 kids, I don't get as much time to play this amazing game as I would like.

Biggest disapointment is espionage. It can be fun on occations, but all in all its mostly booring micromanagement imo.

Second disapointment is no Nimoy, Sid is just not cut out for voice acting.

Third disapointment is that there are way too many military units in the lategame. Stack warfare is not fun imo.
This was already a problem in civ4, and its no better in BtS.

Other than that, a smashing expansion!
