Because I'm not denying that blacks still have it rough and you said I was denying just that. :lol: Of course blacks sometimes face discrimination. Of course they face some hardship, but for some of them they hold a self-fulfilling prophecy of failure.

You deny the history of slavery, and racism, that has kept the wealth in their families low, and kept them impoverished? Even if in 1960, racism actually disappeared overnight, black populations would still be dealing with the loss of wealth due to the hardships they faced.

And racism is still alive today, it was nowhere near gone in 1960, or 70, or 80. Id say maybe in 90 and 2000, (a generation since 60), that racism was minor, but the effects of the past were still very real.

It is not as easy for a destitute family to make it as it is for a middle class family.

Ummm, yea. I understood what you were trying pretend is happening. What I don't understand is why you run to Bush and Nazi for the example. Seems like a conditioned response. Something like: Upset that your candidate is being exposed --> say Bush and Nazi!

It's over for Obama, just give it up. Support Hillary or McCain. Actually, if you want to gaurentee a victory for repubs in the general, keep on supporting Obama :)

Int he meantime, we got real policy issues, like that stupid war and the way its tanking our inflated dollar. Wow so every one is inferring what again? I have yet to hear any one say that Obama is a racist because Wright is. The actual fall back of Wright for Obama is his pick of people and judge of character. But I so understand how you of all people would miss that.

Of course not, don't be ridiculous. But how is this any different from any other poor family that immigrated here and started off broke? Or any other poor family, period?

Some of them sure aren't helping themselves by having 4+ children out of wedlock and sitting on welfare their entire lives, getting themselves imprisoned for drug charges and generally never trying to improve their lives because the system is "out to get them."

It's not that hard to pull yourself up by your bootstraps:

1) Join the military. Become disciplined and learn a skillset. Use the money you earn and the GI bill to put yourself through college while working.

2) Take out a student loan, go to college full-time and then get a job to pay it back.

A lot of people won't do either because they either have a self-defeatist attitude or they wreck their lives before they even graduate high school.

Neither of which is "Y-T's" fault.
