Hello, I just installed Civ4 on my HP Pavillion ze4300 laptop with WinXP-2, 512 MB RAM and ATI RADEON IGP 320M with 64 Meg onboard RAM.
Movies are not fluent but otherwise everything looks fine - except that my world seems to be always at night time. I see my units, shields, rivers, everything, except the background remains pitch black. So I don't see the terrain type around me (desert, forest etc).
So I suppose this is a problem with my video card, which is, I admit, perheps below minimum required. But is there a remedy? I did download the 1.52 Civ patch. A driver download from ATI could not be installed, do I went to the site HP, and downloaded some general ATI-video software, but it made not difference (I did not see any change in the DxDiag output either).
