I'm at the point of throwing Civ4 out the window.
The game slows tremendously when I just loaded my saved game and two or three turns, the screen freezes and probably the computer too because I've been unable to alt-tab out.
When I was on my second hour of playing on a completely new game, the computer slowed down and the moniter clicked off but yet after it did this, the screen blinked on and off to a black screen and grey screen. Once in a while I saw the Civ arrow but nothing came of it.
With the latest patch, the sound is no longer stuttering but now the beginning video stutters.
I can't even beat the AI in a game on settler level because of this apparent memory leak/bug?
If there is a thread which address this, please link it so I can try different things.
