I've just installed Civ IV - ready to go :-D but... I have all the surronding symbol clearly in view and I can se the two units but the background is all black. If I zoom out at some point the view goes from 3d to more 2d and the landscape becomes visible. But when zooming in on the units I can see almost nothing. I do not know where to move the units and where to pick a good spot for my setlers to build a city as I can se nothing.
it sounds like a stupid user error
but every thing else is in clear bright colors Is it supposed to be like this? or did I overlook some display setting?
