Blinking

I recently started having blinking text on all screens when I am playing the game. Initially I ignored it and played on....but after some time I notice the game then freezes and the CPU temp starts to increase!

I am playing through Steam Version: 1709846872 and the version of Civ5 is

...and my OS Is Ubuntu. This is the latest version of Civ5....I have this because i deleted Steam, and hence Civ V from my system and reinstalled it....hoping to get rid of the blinking....but no luck it seems!

Any suggestions....I do not see this mentioned in any other post!

I have been playing Civ V for many years on this set up with no problem until now..

Same issue here, this is the only reference on the matter I have found on the web. Started happening just after the latest update. Same system here, Ubuntu and Steam. Look forward to reading about any solutions. Greets from Chile

I agree, I think it was the last Seam upgrade that broke it!

I changed screen resolution to 1920x1200 (from 3840x2400) in system settings
It solved it for me
