I'm getting fairly regular BSD crashes while playing CC. I have an HP Pavillion 9494nr laptop with Vista HP, 4 GB RAM, built-in Nvidia 8800M GTS graphtics (512 MB). All drivers are current from OEM. Machine is rock solid with other software and has no quirks to speak of except with CC. Any ideas?

Dual core? Isolate to one core made it 100% stable for me in Vista.

Yep Dale, dual core. How do you isolate to one core though? This is a new pc and cpu for me, not to mention Windows Vista.

Run C4C and then open task manager (this works easiest if you run C4C in window mode from graphic options in the game). Click the PROCESS tab and right-click the C4C process. Click on SET AFFINITY and only have one tick so only one core is selected.

Unless you get a third party app (not really recommended by MS) from searching Google, you'll have to do this every time you start C4C. But it significantly stabilised the game for me. :)

Thanks Dale, I wikipedia'd it and got the answer (senior moment, forgot about checking that first) and it seems to be working with the game so far. I also dialed back the graphics, which is probably unnecessary but you never know.
BTW I really enjoy your mods, please keep up the excellent work that makes good games great! Hope you end up making a bundle of cash doing that!
