Blue screen of death when in windowed mode

This bug actually started happening to me in Civilization: Beyond Earth after I upgraded to Windows 10.

The crashes are maddeningly random, but they don't happen if I play in full screen mode.

I am using the latest video drivers, latest GPU firmware, and latest motherboard firmware (although the motherboard is admittedly dated).

Does this happen to anyone else?

You pretty much have done all you can do already.

A bug like that generally just has to do with a mixture of all your computer hardware.
Only thing you can really TRY and do is a fresh install of windows.
