Board games

chess, risk, warhammer, axis and allies, chess, double fives(another version of chess), speed chess, i rarely play stratego, and i might start up a warmaster army.

I play chess (but I am not very good at typing moves), risk, monopoly, and stratego(I'm not that good at it)I might look into Magic and warhammer. <IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/rotfl.gif" border=0>

Magic the Gathering!!!! And Axis and Allies... Sometimes chess and sometimes backgammon... But MTG is my favourite game of all time... more so than civ!! Mainly because of the social aspect...

I grew up playing Star Fleet Battles and fell in love with its strategic version, Federation and Empire.

I still play F&E every so often, but usually it's difficult to find face-to-face opponents.

I don't play many board games, but go is my favorite, though it's hard to find anyone to play with, besides online. The only other board game I play is... (surprise!) chess.

Chess
Risk
Stratego
War (The game I made myself with a pen, paper and scissors!)

i like axis & allies (hard to find opponents(rest of family likes risk better)), risk (my dad always beats me), chess (my dad always beats me again), and i hope to get the civ board game soon. Monopoly is fun occaisonally (but my mom always wins)

If you've got a mind for strategy, then I suggest you try out the greatest game ever made: Diplomacy!

Just look up in this forum for details.

Chess - Officaily The Ultimate Boardgame Ever!
Diplomacy - A Very Close Second!

I also dabble in Warhammer and of course, the odd Monopoly or Game of Life family contest (which I usually win :D). Suprisingly enough, I don't play Mordheim!

Of strategy:

Chess
Axis and Allies (all 3 versions)
History of the World - Civ lovers would love this game.
Monopoly when I have to.
Risk.

Other "board" games:

Trivial Pursuit
Cranium
Scrabble
