Bombarding Barbarians

I got bored and started counting the kinds of silly things I do in civ

Has anyone ever bombarded barbarians? Has anyone ever used a paratrooper effectively? Has anyone ever beat a tank with a spearman? (meaning you have the spearman)

go to the editor.

generate a map (non-archiapageo)

make a island surrounded by sea.
make tons of barbarian camps on it but leave 1 or 2 tiles out.

this way by the time you get to it lots of barbs uprised.
lots of galleys to shoot at or enslave.
AI may try to colonize it... infact they will.
if they succeed they will be bankrupt.
also, try urself to colonize it.

if you really dont care than wait till u get nukes and use it as a testing ground.

ive done that if it counts for anything...

no im not a cruel person ... nuking tons of barbs and having fun does not mean im insane...

1. Occasionally in the late game after I have torched a bunch of AI cities, I will bombard or use bombers to kill the barbs.

2. I once used paras to attack a backwards Civ(All they had were Pikes & Medevial Inf) that was stuck on a small island off my coast.

3. I once had a fortified spearman on a mountain with a barricade, and across from a river that managed to beat a tank.

Yes...usually against some ancient or medieval age AI units that they still have in Modern age...
NO..but i have beaten a Panzer with a Jaguar Warrior...i had an Elite Jaguar warrior in a 28 town(with an artillery and 7 workers) and a regular AI panzer attacked it and i managed to beat the tank...(I was still practicing civ3, on chieftain lvl, and i think it was my 3-d or 4-th game ever)
