Things are fairly quiet in Boreum for my last turn as Governor,
there seem to be 3 main discussion points.

1. What should Numea build next? Archer? Temple? Caravan?

2. What should Nuema's settler do? Road a little, then
settle (my recommendation)? Settle immediately?
Improvements only?

3. Marl Downs is having happiness problems.

What should be done? Change from Trireme to Archer
for martial law? Hire Elvis?

Let me know your thoughts, that I may be able to advise
the incoming rulership.
 
1. Not Archer, I don't think we really need it. I would probably go for caravan, but I am not entirely sure about it.

2. I agree with your recommendation. Road a little, build any other necessary improvements, then settle.

3. It depends on if hiring Elvis would cause any food problems. If it it did I recommend any improvement that helps hapiness and if that doesn't work or is not possible, then buld an Archer for martial law.

Also, if you have any tips that would be nice as I am incoming Deputy Domestic Advisor.

Three things.
1. In general, build a caravan.
2. Apparently, we have two choices with each city. Either build more than one guard, or freeze at size 2. We could bring down a Mord Archer into Marl Downs
3. Thinking of Roads, what do you think of River Bridge Filler, on the River Bend between OP Reneaux and Eboracum? I think this city will save us several Roads, connect OP readily with Reneaux, and utilize a Forest E of Oasis that is otherwise unused.

We will need several more caravans for the enormous wonder projects that our rulers have planned for us and so I recommend building them wherever possible, but not at the cost of things that will be vital to the city, like defenders, MPs and temples, etc.

Where were we planning to settle this Neuma settler? I agree that more roads are always useful but when the settler has built some then there aren't that many free spots to settler in, unless we're going for a filler network of cities one space apart across our territory. ICS only really works when you've got a large landmass or if you get Map Making really early. You have to commit to it right from the start or you're wasting your time.

What kind of production has MD got? I'd like to know this before saying how I think the unhappiness trouble can be solved. Thanks! :goodjob:
 
I would like to see a settler holding back from exploration to transform land in boreum and other areas. Special resources will mean we will be able to complete wonders much more quickly, and there are several important ones looming on the horizon.:scan:
 
Marl Downs, built 0/x of anything, Size=2
  1 HG Happy serf on road + 1 Elvis, Temple and 2 Black Dudes.
  Food Box 28/30, w Elvis Grow+0 , 2 shields 1 tax + 1 beaker
  Supporting one Settler and one Phx, in city.
  Elvis is not really needed, but freezes growth.
  With 2 Road serfs, 1 Happy + 1 Red, grows in 1 turn
  If move Phx Police out, city will riot now,
  If Phx in, add Mord Archer, city can grow w/o riot.

If grows to 3 w Temple Phx & Archer: Serfs: 2 Road + Forest
  then Food+1 , 5 shields 1 tax + 2 beakers
I think that resolves it, if Boreum can spare the Archer.
MD is then free to build a Trireme, Caravan or Dip

The MD Settler has completed the Road to Octavia's Point.
It is now irrigating, which I doubt is best. Not sure.
 
Duke, the use of the Nuema settler has yet to be determined.

One possibility is that it could work improvements until a
trireme was available to take it overseas.

Gary, like DoM, I'm not a fan of filler cities. I think that except
for 2-3 cities over towards Roskilde, any new settlements
should be overseas.

As to MD, I would like it to continue with the Trireme.
But I don't want that to interfere with getting the necessary
Wonders, so a Caravan is acceptable too.
 
Reneaux Happiness, Caravan 6/50, 3 possibilities:
  Freeze growth onto River Plains & Wine Mine, No
  Build a Warrior Guard and grow, build Caravan
  Freeze to build Phx $8 in 2 turns, grow, recommended

Dellham: just built a Temple.
  serf to River PLAINS to slow growth,
  build a Phalanx Police, add with Archer, grow to 3
  serfs on Road & River Plains, start a Caravan
Neuma: Settlers 34/40 in 2 turns, serfs River & Forest
  Settlers NW Road Plains, then Road CJ to LC,
  start a unit? Settler? Temple? Settler seems best...
Monks Towne, Archer 12/30, serfs River & Forest

Legendary City, serf Iron, Caravan44/50 in 1 turn
  Then riot seem unavoidable, start Temple?
  Both guards in or out of town? Not sure...
Fort Anarchy, Caravan 12/50, needs COAL MINE!
Roskilde, Settler 33/40 in 3 turns ...
