Enormeous map and no vassals/no razing prompted me to go for a diplomatic victory (first time in BOTM I think)

Beelined mass media, but then I realized that I couldn't really build UN as I had no factories and no ironworks.

Woof, 88 city conquest victory.

I've never seen Cannons melt until this map.
City Garrison 3 Longbows in every hilltop city, which was every city!

All praise to Drydocks which give 4xp and 2 promotions for Winnie.
Tried to draft Grenadiers and failed because I'm an idiot.

Beelined Astro and Engineering with Scientist bulbs.
Liberalism -> Steel.
Teched Military Science for 1st time ever to get City Raider III Grenadiers after steel, but they weren't very helpful.
Cuirassiers weren't very helpful either.

The economy problem was very interesting this game.
I wonder if it was beatable if on Deity?
