First, congratulations to @nocho, who has won a 7th – yes, a 7th eptathlon, which a religious victory in 1200AD.

More generally, I wouldn’t say the dates on this game were exactly super-fast, but then the game wasn’t really set up for fast victories, with few resources on the home island, a start that was surrounded by jungle, and having to do a fair bit of sailing to get to the AIs.

Fastest conquest went to @ZPV in 1730AD, just beating @Jovan Kukic’s 1750AD conquest. Even more remarkable - @ZPV was playing the challenger save, thereby making his game much harder. In fact @ZPV was the only challenger attempt that managed any victory at all! But @Jovan Kukic did get the higher score, getting the gold medal in the process. @zbgayumn got fastest space in 1916AD, and @greatbeyond secured the only (and therefore, the fastest) domination in 2017AD.

Well done everyone!

Here's where everyone settled. I guess there aren't exactly any surprises here

The Small Print:
The numbers by each player's name indicate the turn settled on (starting turn is 0). Players are colour coded by game class (challenger=red, adventurer=blue). Symbols indicate victory condition, if there's no symbol then the player either retired or was defeated. The yellow border indicates

In this game I have noticed that being discovered by a civ's boat doesn't create "commerce" trade routes for your cities (even though resources can be traded): you need to know a naval route to the other civ!

Yes that's correct. I don't fully understand the precise details, but in principle, in order to benefit from trade routes, you do need a path that is visible on your maps. For that reason I usually give some priority to finding AI cities fairly early in the game (although it's always lower priority than getting my own cities established). I've also noticed that trade routes will normally be blocked by 'enemy' cities - in other words, barb cities or AIs that you are at war with.

Yay, Spaceship!! :D That makes two spaceships and a cow all time. I keep trying for those Domination and Conquest victories, but they're never fast enough. Maybe it's time to try to sneak in a Religious or Culture victory.

Congratulations.
Everyone that submitted a victory got an award.
:woohoo:

My incomplete game submission was seconds late and rejected. :wallbash:
Tried to play in two days (22 hours played!) and failed. 1765, 55% of Land Area and Julius isn't capitulating.
Minutes away from finishing Conquest or Domination but not bothering to finish and see actual date and time.
(I'd better start 190 soon or I won't finish it either :( )
