In Sweden, no-one knows how to play Baseball. I don't, at least. So what to do with Baseball-bats? The solution: Brännboll!

Brännball means "Burnball", and the rules are extremely simple. Two teams compete against each other, one team starts "In" and the other team starts "Out". The In team hits the ball with a baseball bat, and starts running around the court, that consists of four cones. The Out team tries to hand the ball to the "Burner". The Burner yells "Bränd!" and if the ones running are between two cones they'll have to go back to the cone they were at and they'll have to wait for another player to hit the ball. And so the teams swap places until they run out of time.

How to play Baseball?

EDIT: I should probably have posted this in Sports talk. Sorry.

Man, you must be the goofiest poster here. Funny and goofy.
It's all good, youre supposed to be at your age. :)

Brännboll seems similar to finnish pesäpallo. So my vote would go for that if it was in poll options but because it isn't then I vote for brännboll.

BTW there's children's sport in Finland that's called polttopallo. In english it's name would be burnball and in swedish it would be brännboll (though I'm not sure because I'm really bad at swedish). Coincidence? :p

I think that would be dodgeball in English but we Finns are so violent that we like to burn and kill people in our games.

 that reminds me of the school yard baseball/wiffleball/stickball terms we use in the US - "pitcher's mound poison!" it has a similar conotation indicating that a runner is "out".

baseball is sort of similar to that in that someone is throwing (or "pitching") the ball to a person who is trying to hit the ball w/ the bat. however, there are some differences although they're sort of in-depth.

are you looking for a breakdown of how baseball is played? or are you just comparing the 2 games?

ps-i'd always wondered how baseball bats even made it to europe or anywhere else that baseball is not typically played :) or at least, what their purposes were...if baseball was never played.

In Sweden, dodgeball is called "spökboll". I'm somethin' of a master at it. ;)
