(p.s: is this the right place to do this?)

I stay awake at night; yearning for a Fall From Heaven 3. Whether it be for Civ IV, Civ V, Civ VI, Civ VII, or Civ X, or an original game, the need for MORE FFH COMPELS ME. So I made this thread to get those features out of my head and onto the forum. Here's a little diatribe on what a FFH3 would need.

Keep the 21 Angels; Swap Influences

The 21 angels and magical spheres can stay. However, the real world cultural influences should be swapped around. The biggest influences I see on FFH2 are Northwest European and Christianity. If FFH3 instead took from other parts of the world like Mesoamerica, South Asia, East Asia, and what not, that would serve to make it a unique experience.

Focus on Planet Exploration

FFH2 kept you confined to one realm. This new game, FFH3, should allow the player to traverse from planet to planet very early on.

Swapping of Fictional Influences

In keeping in line with the swapping of real influences; swap what media influences FFH2. I can detect Western Fantasy, like Tolkien and Dungeons and Dragons. If we swap those out for wholly non-DND/Tolkien derivative fantasy, like the works of Dragon Ball and the Iliad, it could make FFH3 feel less like an extension of FFH2 and more like a true successor to FFH2.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on the manner.

it's interesting.
but it feels like you want to port "star wars" to something, but want to all the LORE.

you don't want a FFH3 it seems.. .but any other Fantasy Full conversion mod which would be as immersive.

FFH2 is so immersive due to it's abundant and deep LORE...
-> the Western Fantasy influences .. (which by the way includes both the Elves and dwarves, but also the western european history, including christianity & greek & roman & viking mythos).
-> I don't see so much Tolkien influence BTW. (unless maybe only on the Khazad);. but the Ljos / Svart are more Germanic than Tolkien-ish.
