Brave new world doesn't start?

I downloaded Brave New World, I have Civilization 5 for Mac.
I start up the game, it shows the intro of Brave New World, but after that, the main menu shows the name Gods And Kings, and I go into the DLC options, it does not show Brave New World as a DLC you can disable.

I have cleared the game cache and uninstalled, reinstalled Civilization 5 entirely. This does not solve the problem whatsoever.

Any other options? I hate the feeling of wasting money thats out of my control.

You can not go and download BNW (if you did... dunno what you have - most certainly it won't work).

You instead add the BNW key on your steam client via 'add game'. Then your CiV turns into/adds BNW (and downloads itself automatically).

I use Steam, and I do not if there is a product key - if any - if I got it form Steam, it requires the product key to follow your advice.

UPDATE: Problem fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling Steam.
