broken star-broken, AI won't attack rebels

After playing 4+ game of broken star scenario at various diffucuity levels (cheifton, nobel, prince monarch) I keep getting the same result: all the AI civs sit around and do nothing. They do not attack the rebel held cities. The result, the rebels keep the 20+ cities they started with minus the 4-5 the i manage to capture. By turn 70 they have captured nukes and haved turned out massive a amounts of troops leading to a huge player vs rebel miss match. Eventually you get nuked and killed. Others have also encountered this problem and it seems to have occurred after the 3.13 patch. link: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=236273 I am using the 3.13 patch and also the unofficial 3.13 patch stickyed to the BTS forum. Any help or suggestions would be great. (I am 99% sure this is a bug and not me sucking at this scenario.)
 
Bumping an old thread but this happens to me too.

What a shame.

This looked so promising.
 
Same thing happened to me too. Also, should the rebel cities really be working together? It seems from the game description that each rebel city should be on its own, not part of some rebel empire.
 
I honestly can't believe Firaxis included THIS as a mod.

It's utterly broken and crap at the moment.
 
I never played it before the 3.13 patch, but others have said that it was pretty good before the patch (ie the rebels got quickly eaten up by the player and other AI and then the fight was on between the AI and players) hopefully someone notices this and fixes it with a future patch.:)
 
This is the first time I've played Broken Star and I wasted most of the three day weekend trying to get more than three cities before being completely overrun with rebel forces. I'm glad to know this is most likely a bug. Right now this scenario isn't worth my time.
