BTS wont install

I could not find a post on this even though I am sure there is one somewhere with what to do I looked for the past 2 days so thought I would go ahead and just post it bought civ 4 online and did the download patch from the company blahda blahda blahda now I own BTS bought at best buy and cant get it to install.

It makes it through the direct x update
Then says there in newer version of civ 4
Then goes to The patch failed to install!! aborting installation.

Hi.
I really can't help you a lot since you dont post info on your specs and you dont explain in greater detail your prob, but the best advice is this:

The 3 commandmands of Windows (AKA the 3 R's):

Reboot; Reinstall; Repackage.

If it aint working send it back to Best Buy, Your entitled to your Guarantee.

But try to install the latest BTS patch manually, sometimes installers act weird.
If that doesn't work, well... reinstall CIV and go step by step making sure it installs just like it should.

Not much more detail I can really give my computer would have no problem running the program as for patches I am up to date 1.74 on civ 4 only difference is that I purchased my civ 4 as a online download the legal one. basicaly as said before is when I put in BTS it starts looks for new patches to download and states the previous messages listed above.
