Buff to Maritime Cities...

So I started working on a minor mod this afternoon to make Maritime cities and "sea-tiles" more lucrative. My goals are to:

1. Give coastal tiles +1 food
2. Give Atolls +1 gold, +1 science with university, and -1 food
3. Give coastal tiles +1 production with Harbor
4. Give ocean tiles +1 food with Seaport

So far, I've managed to tackle number 1 and 2 very easily. The problem is with 3 and 4. I figured the solution should be to go to the buildings XML file and simply add a plot yield bonus as is the case for the lighthouse. Why won't that work? It appears coastal tiles and ocean tiles are lumped into one definition: sea plots. So in other words, you can't seem to change ocean tile and coastal tile building dependent yield separately.

I know that the easy solution would be to just give coastal tiles straight up +1 production then make seaports give all "sea plots" +1 food, but handling the situation this way doesn't really scale up in a way comparable to land tech. And what's more, I know a lot of you are going to say, "Hey! There's already ocean buff mods out there! Stop wasting your time!" to which I preemptively answer, "That's not the point. I'm try to understand modding so I can make better mods in the future."

That being addressed, is there anyway to split "sea plots" into Ocean plots and Coastal plots for the purpose of building bonuses? I tried to figure out how to craft new "definitions" but didn't have any luck.
