When you get to the point in your game where you want to upgrade any swordsmen to Azap Infantry, you may find that the "lightening bolt" icon does not appear.

If you encounter this condition, you may use the "Shift-U" hotkey to upgrade any swordsmen that are currently in barracks cities. You must select the first swordsman and the press "Shift-U" to engage the upgrade dialog. Plan ahead if you only want to selectively upgrade and just make sure that only those swordsmen that you currently wish to upgrade are in cities with barracks with spare movement points at the immediate time that you engage the command.

If you just want to upgrade one or a few swordsmen (and don't want to move the others) I think you can press U to upgrade each unit separatly.

Hello there,

I'm sorry that my first post on this board is to report what may be a bug but I didn't mean to be rude.
I stumbled on this great site only a few days ago and I can already tell there's an awsome community around it.
I'm looking forward to be an active part of it.

For the bug (?) issue:

It says here "Any workers or settlers that you capture will be eqWorkers.".
I followed all the instructions to set up GOTM 19, step by step, but when I capture a unit, I get a standard worker. I got 4 of them so far.
Maybe I did something wrong with the setup but if it's any proof that I didn't, the other civs have eqWorkers in their arsenal.

Technicaly, I don't mind because the standard Workers are better than the eqWorker but since it's for the GOTM, I wouldn't want to be :spank: because of that.

Welcome "The Carp",

I double checked this setup value and in deed you should be seeing captured workers in most cases. This reduces the sales value of any workers that you may have captured but should not change the way they function.

(There is a spoiler related issue on this topic that you may discover later in Gotm19-Ottomans but we do not want to discuss that issue here.)

If I understand correctly, I see them as "Worker" but they should still behave like a "eqWorker".
I'll do a test tonight to see if I get the shields or not.

I'll get back to you with the result

Thank you very much cracker :)

el_kalkylus,

You are not being ignored. I just thought you might be able to find your answer in the game setup instructions where the functioning of Ports-of-Entry is explained:

http://gotm.civfanatics.net/games/gotm19_start_v1_29.shtml

You should be able to see the section titled: Changes to upgrade V1.29f to play like PTW and then just page down a littel bit until you see "Ports-of-Entry" in bold type.
