bug, or do I need to set an option?

I played Civ II on a Macintosh for awhile. Whenever a diplomat
stole technology or sabatoged a city, I heard a certain sound
and a window popped up informing me of what had been
done ("Greeks steal the Wheel...").

Now I play Civ II on a PC and whenver a diplomat steals tech or
sabatoges something, I hear the sound but do not get the window telling me what happened. Is this a problem on just the PC or is there an option I need to set to get the window??

Its an option I believe. THere is a list of options where you can turn certain notifications on or off.

Its also an MGE bug.You almost always never get any message in MGE for some reason,for any activity.Tech theft,sabotage.... what have you.
