Bug or me stupid?

Most probably the latter. Anyway, on most mods that involve scenarios I cant seem to be able to play anything but standard speed, no matter my initial selections. Other than speed selection problems I dont seem to have any other at all.

It involves: Heroes of the Three Kingdoms (v 12); terra_nostra__v_7.civ5mod; 1000AD v5.1 just map.Civ5Map but not only.

I have G&K, I have all DLC.
I dont have internet at home (dont ask) and I use my stick to bring my mods home and I install them manually in the proper folder. Again, except for the speed selection I do not encounter any other problems - game works just fine on standard speed, it is just that it ain't my preferred one at all.
I do have a rather weak computer but this should have no connection to my problem.

Anyway, any idea where my problems are?

It's a bug, changing the game speed when starting a scenario doesn't work. You need to open the scenario in World Builder (with appropriate mods enabled), change the speed there, and save the scenario (although some scenarios may be not well suited for playing with other speeds than default).

Thanks for your answer. It seems that, against all odds, it was not my stupidity. Only thing with higher odds was Civ 5 design failing again compared with Civ 4. If only one speed can be played, why on earth are the rest available to select?
