Bug with civ4 when uninstalling and reinstalling civ 4 after installing 1.09 patch

Interesting bug here.

When i uninstalled civ4 and decided to reinstall the game. But when i went to run the game before installing the patch again I didn't see any of the intro screens but i could hear the audio. When I came to the Main Menu i didn't see the Main Menu only the background appears.

I went to install 1.09 patch and went back to play the game. It went back to normal. Its like the uninstallation didn't remove everything and there was one file maybe registry entry that thought 1.09 was installed.

I had another problem with uninstaller - 'msiexec.exe' contuinues to run, so setup.exe just silently quits. I had to kill it explicitly from task manager in order to reinstall without reboot.
