Today bush ordered the CIA to find and wipe out Al-Qaeda and the Taliban and Bin Ladin.
The CIA now has no restrictions and the freedom to kill Bin Ladin and others.
HELL YEAH! :goodjob:

I don't know man. I have serious mixed feelings about this. Unleashing the CIA/NSA and it's operatives and giving them free reign to assassinate anybody merely to prop up a new -and possibly more corrupt- regime could get very very very messy. But if Bin Laden or the Taliban (which ironically means "student of God) or what have you died brutally in the street...it aint no bad thing.

Are you sure your info is correct? I can't imagine that Bush would allow the CIA or NSA to simply assassinate rather then capture, try, convict, and then hang:D.

Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Extra judicial assasinations are bad, bad, bad!

I doubt, given the way that the CIA operates, that it means too much. If the opportunity arises, they may pay someone to take a shot at someone else. The NSA is an information collection agency.. they don't really have field operatives. This is basically more "kabucki-dancing" for the benefit of the US public & Dubya's Conservative base.

I like your caption. Eli .."Evil Zionist Occupier"....hehehe.

Dog

P.S. this could be subject to abuses, somewhere down the road, but I hope not.

Lock and load, then rock and roll.:D
If this applies only to the current situation, as I believe it to, and is not a blanket rescindment of the order, then there are no problems. Take out these Benji- el-Khalb as soon as possible.
I do hope that Christians In Action has more luck than they did with El Jefe Castro in the 1960s, although making OBL's beard drop out before poisoning his boots has a certain poetry to it.;)

KEBAB ANYONE :jump:

Yes its true, the CIA has the freedom to assasinate. I believe they said they have more freedom now than they did in the Cold War and also more than the OSS during WW2.
Hopefully he'll be having an interview and all of a sudden a bullet finds the back of his head :)
That would be great:crazyeyes

Killing him is easy. One gunship could do it quite nicely (although very messily). :D

Human intelligence is the name of the game, right now. Thats why our special forces and the CIA are on the ground. To find the f*cker and his buddies.

hey Joe, also on the news, tthey said your buddies in the 10th Mountain Division, well they said that plans are that the 10th Mnt. Div. will fight along side the Northern Alliance.

Climb to Glory!

Killing of combatants during war is not assasination even if done by covert or commando means, but if out of uniform, CIA operative would be prosecutable (by Afghaninstan) for espianage or sabatoge.

And I'm sure Afghanistan would give them a fair trial! Hah.

There was a quate from Jeff Greenfield (he's some bigwig at CNN) a couple of years back.

"Americans live under the false impression that the government has an elite force of cyber-ninjas that can go inot a foreign country, kill all the bad guys, and set up a nice social democracy"

Paraphrased a bit (although I think he did use the term "cyber-ninja"), I saw it on Dennis Miller Live (It was an episode about Kosovo)
