Did do several times without a problem - click on buy tile and all the ones available around city pop up with a price.

NOW - I click on buy tile and a single blue tile comes up.

In the past, this tile has a price and I can buy it but now there is no price - just the blue tile - and I can't find a way to buy it.

here's the manual: http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/s...IV_VI_25TH_ONLINE_MANUAL_ENG.pdf?t=1480626491

its presentation and information is different from the civilopedia. p95 discusses purchasing tiles, though it does not say anything about only being able to purchase tiles that are maximum 3 tiles away. later in the game, sometimes culture borders do extend beyond 3 tiles from any of your cities. in the case of a resource being beyond any of your city's reach but still within your borders, you will gain access to that resource with the proper improvement like for instance a mine for aluminum.

Tks - I have 4 cities. With 3 of them the buy tile button has a black mark on it and nothing happens when I click it. On the 4th the buy tile is normal but when I click on it one tile comes up purple but blank - nor writing, no cost - just blank.

1- If I take a builder from one city and build a farm in another cities area, which gets the credits?

maybe if you could post a screenshot of the buy tiles screen. the purple tile is where your next border expansion will be for that city. if you are zoomed out too far it will be blank, zoom in a little and it will tell you how many turns until border expansion.

the builder improvements are not necessarily specific to any city, any improvements made can be worked by any city if the tile is within its 3 tile radius. if two or more cities are within 3 tiles of any given tile, only one of those cities will have ownership over it but ownership can be swapped out in the assign citizen screen (right next to the buy tile screen). for a city to work a tile, it must be within that city's cultural borders.

Tks - if I understand, the credits go to the city that owns that tile, not to the builder from another city.

Like other tile yields, the yields from an improved tile "belong" to the city that controls that tile, regardless of where the builder came from. In fact, it can be quite efficient to pump builders out of a higher production city and send them to improve tiles in a new city, to get the new city off to a good start.
