C2C V23 Crash on click

I seem to be having an issue loading this mod. On gamespeeds of Epic, Marathon, Normal, Quick, and Eternity, all on worldsizes standard, Giant, Gigantic, and some overrides with the planetgenerator to larger than Gigantic, I seem to be able to load the game fine, but I have experienced crashing the moment I click on either my initial Stone Thrower, or Tribe. It gives no error messages, and the program simply disappears, off my desktop, and my Taskmanager. I have experienced this under all the settings I have tried runing V23 with, and with two computers I have tried them on. I was wondering if anyone else was having similar problems. I am certain my rig can handle the mod, so it is not a performance issue (3rd gen i7, 8 GB RAM, Geforce GT650M).

I have been able to run previous version of the mod in the past (V13, V19):), thus this is not a problem I have experienced until now. This problem seems to occur with all the games I try to start, so I do not think the problem will persist in a savegame, should I share any. I would like to know what this problem stems from, and my slight experience with computers leads me to believe that it may come from certain program dependency issues, as both computers have young software setups, as one has been recently factory reset by myself, and the other is only two weeks old.

Should an error log become necessary, I will need help learning how to attain one.

This problem did not seem to occur when I clicked on a Great Scientist I had added through WorldBuilder.

In the past, I have loved the mod :goodjob:, so not being able to run it makes me quite disappointed.:(

Once in a very great while, the game will crash on me like you describe above, and only on the first turn. If you load that save (since the game autosaves on the first turn, there will be a save), everything will be fine. I have no idea why it happens so often with you, however.

Are you able to work around it by saving immediately then loading the save?

It would also be useful if you posted a minidump, together with details about what version you are using (the SVN version reported in the flag [near the lower right of the main screen] hover text - whether you are using an SVN update or a release thi number will always be the one we need). Minidumps should be created automatically when you crash like this. They are named minidump.dmp and can be found in the same folder that contains your BTS executable.

The CTDs happen with me sometimes after loading savegames, always when I right click on the first unit selected after loading. If I restart and reload the savegame, skip over that unit and move another units first, the right click CTD problem goes away.

Yeah, I've seen that occasionally as well. But like you say, it is only occasional and can be avoided if you are aware of it. Why it happens to the OP as often as he claims is a puzzler though.

All right, I have attached the minidump, I'm going to try your suggested fixes now. I'm not using a SVN version, I have the one from the main download link at civfanatics.

P.S. I use right click menu, so I left click drag for movement, and that may be why it happens on left click for me.
