After a Chat today I got C3B to add a few things:
---

Main Agreement:
Cheetah, Minister of Internal Affairs of Fanatica,
and
Bremp, President of Civ3Brasil,

With the purpose of strengthening, deepening and enlarging the friendship relations between the two countries;
Recognizing the wish of leaving in peace with each other;
Under the spirit of cooperation in order to achieve a position at the finals of the Tournament,
And respecting the rules of ISDG,

The Parties agree as follows:

Article 1: Duration and effectiveness

This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of its signature and shall be effective for 50 turns, meaning from X to XXX, and may be renewed as the parties agree to do so.
With mutual consent, any article may be changed and new ones may be created.
When there are 10 turns left for the agreement, the parties will start to renegociate this agreement.

Article 2: Non Aggression Pact - NAP

The Parties agree not to attack each other’s units, destroy improvements, pillage roads that connect colonies or perform any other act of aggression.
Any city that was established by the other party shall be immediately given back, without selling it's buildings - unless specifically agreed otherwise.

Article 3: Borders and Territories

The Parties recognize as territories of Fanatica the South part of the continent and as territories of Civ3Brasil the North part. Borders and De-Militarized Zones shall be discussed at further meetings.

C3B will be voting now also. I need an answer by Friday.

I disagree with having something that binds us from being able to declare war for 50 turns :rolleyes:

Well we could go to war but it would hurt our reputation. After all, why would we want to go to war anyways. It would take up to many resorses and money. We need a friendly broder, and this will bring it.

Because I don't think C3B is a team to be trusted

Recognizing the wish of leaving in peace with each other;
Shouldn't that be "living"? :p

And you shouldn't post all this different versions of the agreement at once. I'm nearly getting confused by this.

The treaty you have posted here looks rather good. And I see no reason to trust or distrust C3B in any particular way at this time.

Exactly; so we don't fight them or sign anything with them. That's why I voted no

I believe this is a lose-lose situation. :(

:lol: Don't need to explain. Just you are that somebody who has to have some opinion on something he does not understand.

Akots, you really do take pleasure in putting members of your team down. I understand the situation and I don't agree with it. I don't have to have an opinion all the time, I've abstained on plenty of votes. Your treating people as insignificant really gets old.

Sorry for getting off topic.

After I put somebody down, that person usually tries to put me down in return. Hence, may be I enjoy an opportunity to be put down? :lol:

As CoMA my duty is to lobby the decisions which benefit the national security of our country. Hence, I will try to put down anyone who votes against this crucial agreement. We are not ready for war and would not be ready in less than 50 turns but probably in less than 100 turns we would not be able to fight with any other nation without the help from C3B. If we try to, we can get eliminated from the game. Hence, keeping an opportunity to declare war would be suicidal and would greatly undermine the safety of our country.

Whatever, I'm over it. I do not think it's anyone's place to put anyone down, and unless someone does something really wrong I don't believe they should be put down. Although I don't want war, If we stumble upon someone who wants C3B out, I think we should have the option to get rid of them.

@Rik: Could you please explain how can I persuade the citizens to vote for or against a certain decision if their reasons make no sense and they don not want to listen to reason? I'm not questioning your actions btw but there is nothing about General Warning in the forum rules. Please care to explain what does it mean as well and to whom it is addressed.

(..)if their reasons make no sense in your point of view (..) is what you mean? This is a Democracy game, meaning the choices are decided by majority vote. If you can't get everybody to vote with you, try to get the majority to do so. If the reasons make no sense it shouldn't be hard to point out where their reasoning is flawed. Discuss reasoning, conclusions, points of view, but do not become personal nor put anyone down.

This warning wasn't addressed to a single person, but to multiple people, therefore I named it a general warning. And now we'll leave this warning at peace.

I voted "yes". Who would've thought of that? ;) But for my part it's nothing more than "playing along". If we want to attack we can always find an excuse. ;)

I s'pose your right... :sad:

I don't trust C3B One stinking bit. However, Maybe they trust us, or even want to have a Fair and Good relationaship with us. I think we should take the Deal, but gaurd our borders and our coasts heavily.

I vote yes.

Goldflash, the fact that we have a strong military compared to C3B according to the military advisor is a strong hint they're not scheming. But of course we should always stay alert.
