How about Ivory? ;)

No, I think something like saltpeter would be more approriate, something neither of us can see yet. No suspicions then. :)

Why not saltpeter? :hmm:

Whatever, Oil could be used too. :)

Edit: On second though, Uranium is ok too... :nuke:

Sure, whatever. ;) Or you turn it around:
"It's like you'd ought to share your second iron because we don't have any, if that were the case."

To the people of Civ3 Brazil

Some of our citizens happen to feel that C3B have been offering a few unfair treaties for a while, but it usually hasn't been brought up as a very important issue, since all proposals will look differently for each party. However, your last proposal that we should give you a worker before we should start land exploration in the way a citizen of ours, Rik Meleet, suggested, has shaken most of the teams belief that we would be able to gain good and mutual beneficial treaties with one another. Some of us were hoping that this proposal was just some misunderstanding, and our ambassador, Emp. Napoleon, got in touch with you to clear up this severe misunderstaning.

When you replied that there was no misunderstanding, and moreover, that there was no reason to be offended, because it was only a proposal from some citizen that you had to put forth, we did not feel less bothered by this proposal. For in addition to be given such a proposal, you also admited that you expected us to reject this. We do not know how the internal systems works in Civ3 Brazil, but Fanatica does not put forth proposals that we expect the other party to reject, and thereby waste time and resources for the other party. Frankly, if we were to put forth all the thoughts of proposals that come up in our forums, neither of us would have much else to do than discussing ridiculous proposals and angering the other party.

That being said, the people of Fanatica would like to say that we do understand the people of Civ3 Brazils concerns over a Fanatican Warrior near their borders that they could not see. We believe that we repeatedly stated that our Warrior was not moving further north, and a few turns ago you were able to see so for yourselves.

We have also understood that you were upset by our decission to block your Warrior near the landbridge. It was done for a few turns while we discussed how we felt about it and we did decide to let you through to our borders. However, we feel that your anger because of this blocking is not justified.

To use the landbridge to block your Warrior is just the usage of an advantage the map has given us. To say that it was unfair would be like saying that we should share our second resource of Uranium because you don't have any, if that were the case. Furthermore, there was no agreement at that time, and indeed, there still is no agreement about this, that said we had to let you through the landbridge. We believe we were in our full right to block the landbridge. And though the blocking might have upset you, we would like you to remember that we did let you through after a few turns as a show of good faith.

We are of the belief that C3B would have had the same concerns about letting a Fanatican Warrior over a landbridge if the situation was reversed, but we are also convinced that you would also use it as a show of good faith and let us through to your borders.

The people of Fanatica hope that we now can put these disagreements behind us, so that both sides can start to propose mutualy beneficial, reasonable treaties.

The People of Fanatica have discussed the DMZ for a while and would like to hear your thoughts about an idea of ours. In the last couple of days we have been asking ourselves if there is much need for the DMZ to be so wide, or to be at all. With a thiner or no DMZ, both nations will have bigger areas of land to settle. Of course this would lead to some more discussions of were our respective borders would go. We are thinking of putting them in the middle of our two capitals, as far as that is possible.
However, if you could give us some strong arguments to why a DMZ would be beneficial to our nations, we are eager to listen.

We are looking forward to our diplomatic meeting on Saturday, June 12th.
This and future talks would take place in #isdg_cfc_embassy, on the same server and to the same time as before.
We would also like to apologice for sending this letter this late, but hope you will have time to discuss it before our talks tomorrow.

Greetings,
the People of Fanatica

I'll send this very soon if noone has any objections?
And we will use #demogame_cfc_isdg to discuss between ourselves while the talks with C3B takes place.

#isdg_cfc_embassy is not a good server. Sometimes E_T from APO likes to just hang out in there so if we were to use it and for him to be on APO's C3C ISDG team it may give them an unfair advantage. Do we have another server embassy?

The server is irc.irc-chat.net and hasn't changed.

E_T hang out on #demogame_cfc_embassy2, and I want us to talk to C3B in #isdg_cfc_embassy and not #demogame_cfc_isdg.

#demogame_cfc_isdg is our internal channel for discussions in the team and should not be used for diplomatic meetings. I want us to talk there during the meeting so we can look more organised for C3B.

I will send the letter to jdd@civ3.com.br. Are there any other addresses we could send to Emp? Or could you just make sure that they have recieved the letter if you talk to any of them later today?

I suggest we make a new channel, #demogame_cfc_embassy3, password would be c3bchatnow

How about it? Quite innovative, eh? ;)

I've already written #isdg_cfc_embassy in the mail, so I suggest we stick to it for now. Mail sent to the new address as well.

Ok then... would just have been nice to stick with the same naming style as before. :p

I still say "Greetings" Shouldn't end the letter...

Well, english isn't my mother tongue, so I really don't know if it can or not. But I didn't find anything to replace it with, so I'll just think it's ok for this time.

Sorry, I don't mean to be poking fun or criticizing or anything that like that, please don't take it that way ;)

Usually English speakers end with "Cordially", "Respectfully yours", "Kindest regards" or simply "Sincerely"

Well if you want informal, you could use 'Sincerely' or something of the sort :)

I always use "respectfully," but will not impose my practices on the new administration, which is doing a great job.

Respectfully,

Donovan Zoi :D
