(c3c) Can't get certain functions to work. help plz.

Hi.
I just recently found this board, and although I haven't played civ since civ 1 I find myself diging through all that stuff here.

However, I've got a little problem:

1. Whenever i have a leader, i can't get him to build an army or hurry a production - i couldn't find a solution in the manual either.

2. When trying to plant propaganda, the "execute" field always remains greyed out, no matter how many money i have.

So what can i do?
Sorry if this has been answered before, the search function isn't working as you might know.

1. In conquests, the leaders have changed. There are now two types of leaders, Scientific (you have a chance to get these by being the first to research a tech) and Military (arise from combat). Scientific Great Leaders (SGL) can rush Great Wonders or start a scientific golden age in one of your cities. Military leaders can create an army or rush a Small Wonder.

2. Don't know the problem here

1. In addition to what homeyg said, the leader has to be in a city to be able to do his things.

2. Maybe you're trying to use propaganda against a civ with democracy as the form of government, which won't work, because democracy is immune to propaganda.

Ok thanks for the help. Nebukad, you are propably right about the democracy-thing, I didn't pay attention to the gov though. I'm not so sure about the leader thing. I had a military leader, but couldn't get him to do anything, in or outside citys. Since I had trouble with messed up game menus with the latest patch I'm not on the latest version of the game - maybe some bug or something.
