C3C keeps shutting down

I recently tried to play online against a friend. We played frequently prior to the 1.22 patch. We both have this patch and now everytime we try to start a game, my C3C closes when we press the launch button. I cannot figure out what the problem is. If anyone has advice, let me know. I am extremely frustrated.

I'm in the same boat. I have Conquests installed on 3 computers at home. I ended up keeping 2 at 1.00 so my son and I could play multiplayer because my upgraded version crashes everytime I try to start hotseat or a local multiplayer game.
