I meet the Aztecs for the first time 300AD. The guy has 8 towns and 15 extra Ivory (he's got at least 16). Who knows how many he is already trading. Maybe he is collecting them from everyone else .

Wow thats weird. Can you actually count all these ivory within his territory. I remember a bug where the trade screen would show an insane amount of luxuries for trade even if they only had a few.

Excellent point! As any mathematician will tell you, overall trends are meaningless, it's more important to judge based solely on the extreme examples from your sampling.
