C3C multiplayer help!!!!!!!

Whenever I try to enter a multiplayer game I always end up having my computer freeze after I choose my game but Before it starts. The count reaches zero and then I'm totally out of multi and my computer's frozen. WHAT'S WRONG HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????

what type of connection ? (internet or LAN)
did you try as a host ?

I play over an Internet connection and I never tried hosting.
