The Celts continue to produce warriors. Some movement of Roman units near Hadrian's Wall seen. :)

Hey gang,

Looks like Lou has already resolved this one so I will not try to rejoin the game. I have been putting in 70+ hours at work and have not had the time to play PBEMs (even the Cage Match has gone temporarily silent). However, that is no excuse for my lack of communication here, and for that I apologize to each and every one of you.

I hereby declare myself PBEM Poison. Should my situation change and I am able to play PBEM games again, I will expect a thorough interrogation by all participants before I am allowed to join a game. I once again apologize for my lack of common courtesy to everyone involved. :(

I can accept what you said, DZ. I hold no grudge. Real Life happens to all of us. I've had stretches where I've been unable to play for a few days, and am a slow, but steady player. I've only once had that trouble me.

Played and sent BTW

Ditto. No hard feelings. It takes a lot of courage to come and make a sincere apology like that. Most of the games that I've had die like this had no such admission of guilt, and one (as WU2 knows ;)) resulted in the player who was holding it up coming and making a lengthy verbal attack against me and other players for dropping out when the game hadn't even reached turn 5 in the two months it had been around.

EDIT: Oh, and sorry about the game being slow lately, it's been my fault. I keep sending Sega the wrong turn (damn these games that start in the ADs :cringe: )

Celtic raiders continue to gather in preparation for an assault on the Romans.

It should be in your inbox now IanDC

The Celts hold a war council to debate whether the time is right to drive the Romans from our island home.

Celts

Eboracum was better defended than we had anticipated. We defeated 3 Garrison units and knocked an elite Roman Legion down to 1 HP. but failed to take the city. Seven Celtic Raiders perished in the attempt to take the city. We will attempt another attack.
A Celtic Raider has been busy cutting the roads between Londinium and the northern cities to slow down Roman re enforcements.
