They were not stacked in France. They were transported all together (23 of them) in a heavilly guarded fleet (5 galleon, 8 man-o-war and lots of privateers clearing the way)

Yes indeed. The true pleasure of this game was the regularity and fast (relatively) pace of the turns. I *would* suggest another PBEM with the same group, but that idea didn't work out too well from the WW2 Pacific to the WW2 Europe PBEMs, so I'm not promoting it here.
