what is in your opinion the best leader for romans?
Do you think that Augustus traits are better than Julius Caesar's trait?

Frankly i think that Julius Caesar remains a lot more powerful, ORG/IMP is the best combination for domination victories.Caesar Augustus seems more fit for a slower expansion.

I'd have to say that Caeser Augustus would be better for domination victory, with the creative trait..more culture = more land..Imperialistic, with it's cheaper settlers is nice, but not as relevent considering maintenence goes up by number of cities as well as distance from capital. (Note, I don't use the dot map for city placement..:p considering it isn't at all relevent to how cities grew up historically)

I just finished my first game with the new patch, and I played Augustus. I got the highest score I've ever got in any game. Domination victory on a standard fractal map, Prince difficulty.

He is seriously amazing for a domination victory. All of the hammers saved on cheap libraries went to more Praetorians, which conquered 3 civs single handedly. I then used the power of Creative/Organized to build up the size (population and borders) of my empire for the required percentages for domination.

"Augustus Caesar, you have displayed the leadership abilities of Augustus Caesar!" :)

I like em both - but Julelus is awesome for his cheap GG's....be as creative as you want Augustus, but NOTHING stops a GG Preytorian....unless it's very bad luck.
