Got another error on our Civ save file.
Similar to last time.

The error has occurred on both turn file 168 and now 169.

The error seems to spring up when a trade deal is canceled.

Rik? Ainwood? :help:

Here's the full text of the error:

P.S. I'll be contacting Rik to see how he want to proceed.

I wonder if the error is caused by "double accepting". Last time we had problems, somehow TNT sent us a luxury twice. I don't remember exactly what turn it happened, but at some point in the last few turns, if we open the Dnuts diplomacy screen, it started saying "they have accepted our offer" even though there is no offer there. Maybe they accidentally accepted a tech trade twice (or maybe I did)?

Chatted with Rik (He was a big help last time!) and he also suggested contacting the Mods.

I've sent them this letter...

Hey RegentMan and Ginger_Ale,
(CC: Rik)

It's me again!

As you may or may not be aware – we're having problems loading the save files in CivAssist II again.

We strongly suspect that this is due to the Dnuts canceling our luxury trading deals. (Not that anything "wrong" happened – but both Rik and I remember the error last time being caused by a problem with a trade deal)

Anyway – Rik suggested I contact you to see how you want to proceed with getting the file fixed (since you obviously no more about the whole game situation, and whether or not there is more going on than just a trade being canceled.)

I am kinda hoping that since Ainwood fixed a similar issue once, it may be easy to fix this time?
If not (and I recognize I'm totally ignorant on programming issues) then I think we're getting to a stage in this game where having CivAssist is less important. It's still very useful to our team – but if fixing the file will require a long stall in the game, it may not be worth it.

There is a thread in our forums on this topic. Here

Anyway – any feedback and help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks again for all your work on making this game run smoothly.

P.S. I also just recently sent them a question about War Weariness... hence the "me again" line.

I guess I will wait to play the save then. No need to ask ainwood to fix it twice. I had just started changing the city builds, but I hadn't moved any units yet.

I will inform on Turn Tracker that Ainwood is looking at the save ... we don't want our rivals spinning out too much :)

Also good thing as it will give KISS time to reply ... although I doubt that they will take us up on it :(

:thanx:

Since it doesn't seem to be a serious problem, I will keep the game moving for now. Just let us know when you have some time, and we will send you the latest save.
