Can I even run this game?

I have a laptop, 2.8 GHZ, 512 MB of ram. However, I have an IGP 345M graphics card with the latest Catalyst drivers, I am concerned about how my graphics chip may not be able to run due to CIV4's new 3D graphics.


Will I even be able to play this game? or is my graphics card lacking too much?

What exactly is that video card?

Go to display settings / advanced/ adapter.

There is an online checker here (run the demo).

it's a radeon. And it has all the minimum requirements (64 MB, Hardware T&L ect) But SRTEST doesn't recongnize it and it fails, so srtest is worthless to me. But since it met all the requirements I'm going to assume it will work

That's wierd. It should recognize the card.

Did ATI make the card?

It's an onboard chip, you see, when I run the SRTEST, it says I pass everything (in the video card section), and I have all the features and 64MB, but it fails the card for some reason anyways. and yes, ATI Technologies made the "card"

Oh, then you're probably ok. That system checker just does string searches and doesn't have every possible option listed, just the most likely suspects.
