Is there any way for me to see what an AI-city is building? I would very much like more information about his space projects :scan:.

I thought that a spy would help, but I cant figure out how to get the information. Sometimes I get the different versions mixed up, so maybe I remember a function from another civ.

I don't believe you can see the production directly (i.e. the number of turns left to complete), but for space projects, the Victory Progress screen gives you information on how far each player has progressed towards each project.

For more specific information (like which city the project is being built in), the detail on the graphics for each of the Spaceport districts (much like Wonders) actually shows you what they're building. In this case, during the construction of every Space Race project, a rocket leaves the hangar, and slowly makes its way to the launchpad, giving you an indication of the progress made towards that project. The model of the rocket is different for the Satellite, Apollo Program, and Mars missions. With Spies (and your own Satellite launched) you should have good visibility on all the AI cities so you can check for activity at their Spaceports, and hopefully stymie them with espionage.

Not in-game but in the log file it shows the civs overall production, science, culture gold etc in a nice spreadsheet. I think it's player_stats.csv
There is other info like city build, what cards they are using ... surprised someone has not got a mod in place, it's sort of cheating though.

You cannot directly see production. However, if you've got spies and they're working on space projects, you're probably better off just sabotaging their spaceports.

Thank you all, I guess the spies in Civ5 were a bit more informative...

I knew about the progress of the rocketlaunching in the graphics, but I didn't know that each rocket-model has its own look - I will dig into that.
And yes, you are probably right that I shoul just sabotage the production - but I would like to know which spaceport was the most crucial.

For those interested, here are the different rockets.

The Earth Satellite has a Soyuz 2 - like rocket:-

The Moon Landing has a Saturn V - like rocket:-

And the Mars Missions have the same chunkier multi-booster rocket:-
