I have a small situation. The computer I want to play it on doesn't have a cd-rom drive in it. (It is some kind of laptop drive in a desktop pc with an odd dell ide converter cable, and costs about $100 if I want to put the cheapest cdrom in there for it - even a used one). So, what I've been doing, is just mapping the cd-rom across my home network to one of my older pc's dvd/cdrom drives. This has been working great since it's a gigabit network, but when I put the original civ4 cd in the cdrom drive the computer keeps telling me to "install the civ4 cd" when I try and start the game. I am having a hard time locating a nocd exec for this game, and the emulators seem to not be working either. Is there any way I can get this to work with a networked or no cdrom? I have nero with a virtual drive that I use for some things, but have not yet attempted to play a game on this computer. Any help appreciated.
