Constant reboots on new PC

Hi

I just bought a bunch of new hardware in order to play larger maps in Civ 6 (all dlc and R&F). Unfortunately I'm experiencing consistent PC reboots just after starting a new game. The crash/reboot is instant and I don't seem to get any error messages/logs (since the PC just makes an instant reboot I guess). I usually play with a lot of mods, but I've unsubscribed from all + removed the ones from my mods dir and have furthermore cleared cache. The result is the same.

I've only experienced the crash when playing Civ 6.

After installing Win10 x64 I installed the newest version of all drivers I know of, so that shouldn't be the problem (although I'll go through them again).

Of course I haven't tested the new PC build very much so far but I can say that CPU temps seems to be ok after reboot (mid 50's).

Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

Your computer completely restarts when you start again? I haven't heard of that happening before. What kind of errors, if any, are you getting in Windows event viewer? You might also use a Blue Screen viewer to check the minidump files.
Yeah, it just restarts - no minidump files or anything!

Trying to track down the problem. Ran a few stress tests and it performed fine. Will also test with other games/applications but right now I'm following some steps 2K support have given me (with no luck so far).

Also contacted Asus support to hear if they could see any problems with the build.

Sounds like you're getting a BSOD, but the crash dump is not properly initializing to record the event. My guess would be a hardware problem, but if you've already tested all your components and they've come back fine, I'm at a loss. If anything that ASUS or 2K suggested corrects the problem, I hope you'll report back.

Just tried starting up Divinity Original Sin 2 and exactly the same thing happens so it's not isolated to Civ6!

Just did a google and a lot of people are writing about similar problems and the answers seem to be PSU.

I own an Energon EPS-750W PSU so that shouldn't be a problem for me, right?

Ok, I believe I've solved it.

Apparently my 750W PSU was old and tired... Just picked up a brand new 750W PSU and now everything seems to run smooth :)

Thanks for the help!
