Before I get labelled a pirate , I'll explain. I have the French version of Imperialism - which is fine except that the patches never came out for it.
I've tried playing with the english patch in the french folder and it works, *excepts* that auto-save no longer works (don't ask me why) and neither does the newspaper. Since Imperialism is not terribly stable, auto-save is important, and without the newspaper unless I check every turn I'm not even aware of diplomatic evolutions. Basically I'm stuck with 1.0.
Since the CD seems to be used only for the movies, I suppose an english game folder would work on top of my French CD; it's worth a try at least. And since a CD is required to play, sending me your game folder is not piracy.
