According to the MIA:

Duex Rivières: Should start Sun Tzu's Academy
Groton: Should start Leo's Workshop

I'm wondering, though, as a concerned governor: Can either of these cities make it? I note, as a concerned governor, that we certainly were not first to start these wonders. I also note that we are far from the only civ building these wonders.

I provide the following evidence:

610 A.D. Turn Chat thread: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=83048
Reports the Greeks start Sun Tzu's a full 10 turns before we do.
Egypt starts one turn before we do on Leo's

510 A.D. Turn Chat thread: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=82551
Babylon and Germany start Sun Tzu's 20 turns before we do.
Russia starts on Tzu's 15 turns before us.
Egypt starts on Tzu's 12 turns before us.

Before our highest production cities are wasted on efforts that are likely to fail, I ask that at least either DR or Groton quit their wonder efforts to concentrate on our better bet, Leo's.

I think that it would make the most sense to switch Groton over to another project (perhaps a military unit or a cultural improvement) and switch DR from Sun Tzu's to Leo's.

IMHO we should base the decision not on feelings, but as much as possible on facts and intelligence:

The Persepolis screenshot says: 28 turns till Sistine (600 shields).

Look at Athens on the map: it only has about 10 shields per turn.
Look at Thebes on the map: it only has about 12 shields per turn.
Look at Lagash (Babylon) on the map: it only has about 10 shields per turn.
Look at New Leipzig (Germany) on the map: forget it.
Look at Yakutsk (Russia) on the map: forget it.
The competition will likely be from Pasargadae (Persia).

Deux Riviere will have 600 shields in not more than 20 turns if properly managed (get the forest from Santa Lucia NOW; it will not harm St.L, but speed DR until DR has it's own grasland forested).

Groton will have 600 shileds in less than 28 turns, if we join the 3 workers, work the mined hill, the mined grasland, the irrigated grasland and another mined gras in 2 turns.

We should trigger our Golden Age in at most 10-20 turns and speed the building even more.

I strongly advise to go for Sun Tzu's first, because it is the ultimate wonder to support our conquest of the complete continent.

Having the choice between Sistine and Leonardo's is a tough decision.
Leonardo's, because it eases our future wars?
Sistine, because we only have 2 luxuries in our territory?
I would hope for Bach's becoming available and choose it, probably. Also because it works it's happiness in all cities of the continent.
Or Smith's trading.

Do not stop, but speed the Wonder building!

try to get Sun Tzu, as much as possible!
Excuse me for pointing out that your posts are incoherent. If we want to get Sun Tzu's as much as possible, we have to trigger our Golden Age asap by getting gunpowder. But you advocate to go for astronomy. (Btw. a valid suggestion, but not in line with the wonder race.)

Another factor to consider is that Groton, at 18 shields right now, is far from it's maximum capacity. It still has quite a bit of growing room. It's labor configuration should be set to allow for some growth, perhaps 2-4 food per turn, giving it a 5-10 turn growth rate.

We might not get Sun Tzu's. That's fine. We have an aggressive tech rate that will give us new technologies and new wonders to cascade to. We MUST start on these wonders now, if for no other reason than to ensure we get some of them.

I can't suppress the thought that Sun Tzu's is ours. No city with the DR capacity is building Sun Tzu's: they are all full ahead for Leonardo's. With only 10 more turns to go, I think we made it.

We have been beaten to SunTzu and Leo's. Thank's for contributing to the war plan!
