Can We Use Random Avatars?

After reading this , I began to wonder; are random avatars possible here in CFC? Scroll a little way down in the thread, it gives the code necessary to do a random avatar. Will this code work here? I've always wanted a random avatar...

Its when you have a set of three or four avatars and the computer randomly picks one everyday.

Hmm... sounds interesting. Not sure if its necessary though. Why cant you just change them randomly yourself?

Then it wouldn't be random! Saves me work anyway. Its not necessary, but they have it at GCN...

An avatar is supposed to be your 'identity' or 'mark' in the forum.

Trying to remember each poster's unique avatar is already hard work; not going to do it for a whole set of avatars for each poster.

Conclusion - not such a great idea methinks.

I planned to use a few different shots of Spike, so it wouldn't be too hard...

If Thunderfall has no qualms about it, I guess anyone can have it.

I would be against it, however. An avatar is a person's mark of uniqueness. When a member changes their avatar time after time, it gets hard to remember and such.

I'll chime in as another naysayer.

I don't like them at gamecatcher, and I wouldn't like them here. The avatar is a quick identifier of the poster, and I don't like them changing too often.

(Yeah, I know, I'm old and set in my ways. )

They are quite annoying and would it be affected by the size limit?

I felt the same way. Not different avatars, but different shots of Spike.

Anyway, it isn't a question of whether its legal or not, its a question of whether CFC supports PHP (or whatever it is that makes it work----read the thread at GC)

Rotation avatars aren't.

They are annoying.

Corn, you should use that Bird of Prey image from Star Trek: Nemesis as your avatar. That ship is very cool.
