Can you modify the map AFTER a game is started?

I want to edit my game. Is it possible to edit your game and map after you have started it? If so can someone give me a quick rundown? I have the SDK and I am learning it to some extent. I want to learn purely for my enjoyment.

As an example I want to start a game as Vikings and edit my map (like I used to do in Civ4) and drop in Iron nearby and/or add luxury resources and/or change topography.

Is this possible AFTER I start a game (single player of course)?

It is possible, but since the WorldBuilder for Civ5 is a separate program it is not easy. You have to do it through the Tuner. The map panel has a resource plopper that will allow you to add/remove resources, but for terrain you pretty much have to use the console. You also may not see the changes reflected on the actual in-game map until you save and reload.
