Can you play LAN game in offline mode

Was meant to be having a LAN game at a friends house over the weekend, but he's broken his router, so does anyone know if you can play a LAN game in offline mode.

Yeah you can. U don't even need a router, just do a cross over cable connection between the two pcs and you'll be good ;-)

You need to change profile name one one machine if using only one unit.

Yes this is the biggest problem people have if you are using just one copy of Civ5. Take one PC offline, then change your profile name on the online PC, then take it offline and then you will be able to play a LAN game. If both PC's have the same account name you will get the "can't connect to host" problem.
