Okay, not judging Civ5 yet (still on the fence, and to be honest, not as yet completely wowed, but that discussion belongs on another thread)...
Does anyone know if you would be able to hook up 2 computers and play a LAN or Direct IP game of Civ 5, and not connected to the outside world. Sadly, my friend and I have weekends where we head up to Whistler, drink, snowboard, and play MP civ connecting 2 laptops together through a router (not connected to the internet).
Not sure if this will be possible with Civ 5 (nevermind that I don't think you can play this on a laptop, need to drag my tower up next time - and really, where is all of the graphic horsepower going anyway?!?!).
Also, does anyone know if you can set Steam to offline without actually connecting to Steam (as in right now, Steam looks like it is down and I can't even play...)
