Cannot find cd

I have downloaded and installed the v2.08 of Warlords. When I tried to start the game again, the computer didnt read the cd. Said that cannot find the cd.

What should I do?

Get a new CD Drive.
Seriously now,
What was the error, exactly?
(Maybe change the drive number, under: Control Panel -> Administrator Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management -> Removable Storage)

The problem is exactly this. I can play the game normally without the patch using my cd (original - usa version). The drive read it. But when I istall the v2.08 this error occur.

When I try to enter in the game again a window apper saying that cant find or cant read the cd. Now I am playing the game without any patches.

I dont think the problem is the drive because other cds (including the original warlords) work.

To have an idea of what I am talking about, try to run the game without the cd. The same window will apper to you. The only difference is that my cd is in the drive.

Thanks for trying to help anyway and sorry for my awful english. Its not my first language. Anyboby have a clue to make this thing work?

I have a similary problem with civilzation IV + Beyond the sword. When I launch the cd I have this message in french : "Veuillez insérer le CD ROM approprié, puis cliquer sur ok et redémarrer l'application" (in english : Please Insert the Correct CD-Rom)
What is this problem? i have the original cd and i have the problem with civilization IV, and Beyong the sword.

Help me please!

Are you guys inserting the correct CD in the drive? A lot of vanilla CD's were mislabeled (Play CD was labeled as Install CD and vice versa). Try putting in the second CD in.

Yes i did. I have insert the correct CD. In the french version, i have just one cd for civilization, so i can put just one cd. Sorry if i don't write english very wel (i'm french). I think that i have a security problem with civilization's Cd? is it possible?

I had CIV4 installed (patch1.61)
Bought Warlords (a CD), installed it, showed dll...problems.
I installed DX9.0. Uninstalled Warlords.
Installed Warlords again. - Check for updates...installed patch 2.13.
Tryed to launch game - Msg = Wrong CD
Then I updated CIV4 to 1.74.
Uninstall and install again Warlords...and patch2.13...
same problem:
Wrong CD"
I am not using cracks or pirate versions, and my sistem, is ok for sure.
Firaxis didn´t answer !!!
pls anybody help...

I've the same problem, and I inserted the right CD. It was working before the pach, but now, can,t "find" the CD...
