No CD for PTW (GOG Edition)

I have the GOG version of Civ3 Complete. It has all the files for vanilla and PTW, but does not come with the EXE for vanilla or PTW. I did manage to come across the EXE for PTW, but I get the NO CD ERROR. I searched the forums. One was available on the German PC Gamer site, but it is no longer available. If somebody could PM me a solution, I would be most appreciative.

As far as I know, there is no No-CD patch by Firaxis existing for PtW. May be the reason is, that this version was not sold in German magazins. One option to start PTW with the Civ 3 Complete version of GOG can be to use the CD of the PTW version of Civ 3 Chronicles, as this version seems to have no copy protection that is suffering by a disabled support by microsoft.

But why to play PtW if you can play C3C ?

The CFC Game of the Month still runs a PTW variant.

I see. The Game of the Month forums are normally not visited by me. Nevertheless what I wrote in my last post here in my eyes is still valid. You need additionally a proper CD to run PtW. I am not aware of a legal (and also not of a not legal) no CD version of PtW. I can run PtW on my Win 10 pc with the Civ Chronicles installation and the proper CD in the floppy.

May be templar_x and Lanzelot here have additional knowledge, as both are participating in that Game of the Month, too - but my guess is no.
