Hi guys, there's something really wrong with my CiV, really hoping you can help. Basically, it cannot load most of the free mods that I can download.
I'm running CiV on Windows XP installed via Bootcamp on my Mac. Generally, it works fine. So after a bit of playing, I wanted to try out some of the many nice free scenarios you guys are making. I followed all the steps of ainwood's guide on mod downloading (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=382525). I was able to download the mods, install them, and tick them green. I'd then press "Back", getting me into the Mods mainscreen, and there'll be two options: "Single Player" and "Browse Mods". In neither of these links did I manage to find the fabled "Start Scenario" button. The only mods that work are the ones that merely add a civ or some artwork, but the mods that are actual scenarios just don't appear. The only scenario that can be loaded this way is the Rise of the Mongols - in which case there is an additional option, "Custom Game", under the Mods menu.
I've tried looking on several forums. I've tried copying the contents of the mods (which are where they should be, in the MODS folder under My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5) to the scenarios folder in C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\sid meier's civilization v\assets\DLC\DLC_01, and to various map folders. Still no dice
Please help me, I really enjoyed playing historical scenarios in Civ IV and Civ III, and I hope that I can play them with CiV too.
