can't build railroad

i don't seem to be able to build railroads after the discovery of steam power, the button isn't there, shift-R doesn't work, on a previous road, without a previous road.. the AI does seem to be able to build it....

anyone had that problem too??

Make sure that you have both iron AND coal. You need these to build railroads.

yeah... true, sorry... only read that afterwards in the manual... i only checked out the what's new section and some other things which were new
